Reconciliation Australia’s Indigenous Governance Program supports, recognises, and celebrates success and governance excellence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations.
We provide an online networking and information platform, a corporate partnership program and the biennial Indigenous Governance Awards.
The Indigenous Governance program is run in partnership with the Australian Indigenous Governance Institute (AIGI) and enabled by the BHP Foundation.
The Indigenous Governance Program, aims to progress reconciliation through recognising, supporting and celebrating strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander governance and self-determination. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have tried and tested their own models of governance for at least the past 60,000 years – and we know what works.
